Just out of interest.

Say there was a peakless helmet on the market and you bought it as that suited you and your game etc.

It's a sunny day, the pitch is orientated so the sun is behind the bowlers arm. He's quick and the pitch is lovely.

Do you

A) ask for a cap and trust your skill to keep anything rising off you

Or

B) risk the sun, and try your hardest to look down hoping to pick the ball up below the sun after it's left his hand?

I'd probably go (B), but maybe call for a pair of sunglasses. I reckon it would be OK, most times anyway.

Haha thanks I think, now if some more of you can buy the helmets I've spent all that time and energy developing that would be suppppperrrrr 👍🏻

I know that Suffolk is a long way for you guys, but I'm finalising the details for a Bats and Equipment Fair - April 8th. You'd be very welcome if you want to come and present your helmets. Maybe find a new market out here in the East!

I'm in Suffolk  ;) Hopefully you will share the bats and equipment details on the forum as soon as they are finalized.

From a protection point of view Mr Tek has explained it perfectly, however the simple talk of the lowering sun for a summer sport makes a peak the most practical option. I'm sure most of us can relate to having played late evening games on wickets facing East - West, squinting to see a projectile hurtling towards you is never fun!
