My god they are expensive! £350 for a G2?

Had one in for knocking in recently, brought in by a competition winner.

I suspect a certain sussex based maker who has recently found some free space in his production schedule made it.

Classic Surridge shape, but extremely heavy, balance wise and dead weight.

I appreciate the heritage though, and they don't have huge edges, which is a plus in my book.

Interesting venture at least, I hope it works out for them. Just worry about the pricing.

im assuming seeing as they're saying they have three grades classic is grade three that means that the entry level grade three will cost £375 if you want a second grip toe guard and scuff sheet ( which most brands will give you for free)

Christ on a bike...£350 for a G2, then £450 for a better looking G2 and if you want to push the boat out and have a G1...£500!

My business model must be all wrong 🙈 Hopefully some people consult Kratos and use him to see that those prices are hugely inflated if simply looking to sell direct.

Bang on - that's one of the best websites I've seen full stop for a while, branding on the whole is superb.

Surridge must've put some serious funds into this, although 68 followers from 1500 tweets (since August) would be slightly worrying! Amazed they've been going since August and none of us have picked up on it

It's nice but you can't actually order a bat weight as it's not offered so you just pick a model and hope what turns up is useable for you?

Oh god, just read this little gem from their description on bat weights;

"We don’t mark our bats with their weight. Bats will feel heavier or lighter dependent on its design, even if they’re the same scale weight. Our bats are bottom heavy, with a longer drive and more central power spot, so ideal for the 1-day or 20-over game."

You genuinely can't specify weight on the website. I'm totally baffled. Is it actually Surridge running this as that is totally clueless?!

If I'm paying £450 for a G2 bat I'd want to know I'm getting exactly what I want to suit my preferences.

Given that not many of us play 5 day games it's reassuring to know they are suitable for 20-50 over games though!

@Ayrtek Cricket can you think of anyone else charging £450 for a G3?

Not off the top of my head, technically is a G2 though according to their website.
