Sore finger trade off.
« on: March 03, 2017, 09:29:33 PM »

Ok, so nets start, I have a new oval handled light bat to stop me slogging and improve timing, which it has. I've altered my bottom hand grip to a light thumb and first 2 fingers. Drives are easier and sweeter as are cuts. My only issue is I now have a semi-permenantly sore and bruised index finger. Anyone else had this? I assume I'll just have to MTFU and the finger will eventually toughen. Or is it the handle?

All thoughts appreciated!!

I hope you're not asking any of us to give you the finger?

Had the same problem, started wrapping the affected bit with some padded tape from boots, sorted!

Without wishing to sound rude as you out it I think it's a case of MTFU

Not sure what gloves you have, but some have padding there.
You will just need to grin and bear it, the pain/bruising will soon pass.

That's what I thought.  :D

2016 GM 808 LE's with Slazenger inners. I'll try a little padding but as has been suggested, it's probably just my digits not being used to it. Def going to persevere as batting feels much more natural. I'll post a video as soon as I can figure out the best settings on my SJ5000. Think I need to narrow the viewing angle as everything is always too small at 170°.
