Trott Profile plus a little modification
« on: March 05, 2017, 06:56:52 PM »

Took the short trip up the M42/M1 to see the B3 chaps in January. I had the trot profile in mind due to the size/coverage/manageable weight at 400 for ease. I met the doctor and 2 toms to start who made a decent cuppa and gave me a little tour of how they vision the new building will shape up. It will be a cricketers paradise when complete!!

The bats in question are a pair of 399 clefts in the White stickers and a 405 in the light blue/white. It's a cracking shape with thick oval handles into the thick shoulder area. The slight modification was due to a slight hairline crack in the back of the toe of the 1 stripe - a slight duckbill shaping later and it's a belter with the tiniest bit of help to the pick up. The three tap up beautifully, as always with the b3 pressing straight out of the packet.

I even got a VIP visit off MD blathers who by the sounds and looks of it had had a cracking Friday night.

All in All, Excellent service, good blokes with a great passion for our game and a hat trick of great bats for my collection.

I don't mind that profile at all. What is the dressed weight on those?

I am a big fan of Trott and his bat shape. It had a wide sweet spot. What are the specifications of this bat?

@sarg - between 2-13.5 and 2-15. Blue stickers the heaviest and the slight duckbill at the other end of that scale. Generous profile for a technique that needs as much help as possible!!

I have no clue on specs @KW9221 . Rarely measure any bat I have. Thick edges, shoulders and toe, no wood taken out of the back. Really nice handle shape.
