I had some serious bat envy after seeing Chad and Simon May share their Hell 4 Leather purchases. I then saw JB's and caved in.
I couldn't get hold of H4L so i contacted Jake in the hope he could pursuade H4L to part with one of those special clefts on the 16th Jan, stating i was in no rush and would wait.
I felt a tad boring because i didn't have a bat with more than a 30mm edge and they were going to get harder to find. So i kept it simple, i asked for a bat which will be illegal, high middle/good pick up with no 'knob'.
Jake responded to at least ten of my emails, patiently and politely and always helpful. As part of the price he prepared the bat, sorted a grip and added a scuff sheet which was fantastic. Don't think you can get much better service. Can only recommend purchasing through him.
Jake has told me it has 48mm edges and a spine that looks to be about 70mm. I have not measured. Pics below.
