I've tried giving it a light sand and oil but the strands of wood seem convinced they want to peel away again.

What do u recommend...PVA glue, Shoe Goo, chewing gum?

They never seem to last very long with me as I tend to tap the floor quite often in my pre-empting the ball arriving and seem to rip off when running the bat in.

Angle the toe, that should help. Will hopefully remove the current feathering and help prevent more. Unfortunately it's a bit of a given if you are a heavy tapper so not sure there is a perfect remedy out there

Super glue works most of the time, depending on the damage.

Thanks chaps, will give glue a try as it's just had a clean up and is pretty new so I'm hoping to take preventative steps from the outset now it's just starting to open up nicely in nets.

Just cut the bottom of the bat off. That'll fix it.

I am a big fan of shoe goo on the bottom of all of my bats. It dries as solid as a rock and in my opinion, seals the toe of the bat.

She's just starting to show some appreciation having been rubbed down gently and oiled 😜
