Salix Raw 2017 season bat
« on: March 08, 2017, 05:36:46 PM »

Hi all. Thought I would share some pics of my new 2017 Raw bat from Salix. Don't seem to see many people with Salix bats in Suffolk were I now live and don't seem to be mentioned on here much either.

Any way here is the new for this season Raw shape. Mid placed sweet spot with a full profile and lovely oval handle. As normal the finishing is just superb. Has a really punchy middle that seems to run the full length of the blade.

This bat is 2.96 with 37mm edges. Fits perfectly into the new limits being proposed but any way. Also has 10 even grains with a few little marks etc but the grains run evenly across the back of the bat as well. And as per my ideal bat a lovely even heartwood strip on the outside edge.  Grading wise this is the entry level "Graded" model but in my opinion is certainly a G2 even G1 with many companies. Compliments my collection nicely and makes me wonder why I haven't used one for the last couple seasons.

No standard length blade. The T20 model is slightly shorter but this particular one is standard SH

Check the website or call then as the workshop does shut over winter although always used to welcome you over winter months with prior arrangement. Re-open in march at some point on Saturdays for open visits

For 175, this is stunning value for money. Not something you normally associate with Salix. Very GTesque profile.
