Proven performer? He averages 24 this year. I wouldn't be selecting him on his performances

Looks like he needs a break? He hasn't done anything to deserve a break.. he deserves to be dropped

Call it what you like but Jason Roy is far from done at international level, he will play plenty more ODI and t20 cricket. His average this year when in the worst form of his life is still considerably higher than Henriques career average. Henriques genuinely wouldn't get in Englands 2nd XI

If they do bring in Bairstow now for Roy (which I think they should, Roy looks mentally shot) it has to be a straight swap, at least for the remainder of this tournament. The middle order has been firing pretty well and Moeen Ali for all his qualities I dont think is cut out to open at the top level

I think they are selecting Henrique based on his recent T20 form in BBL and IPL even though everyone knows he hasn't performed in ODIs... and wisdom of that policy is another matter to debate...

Lynn must've had a shocking ipl/bbl then. ;)

Looking like an England vs. SA/India final.
Don't see Bangladesh winning their semi and England should beat either Pak or SL

Surely they could dropped finch to 4 and opened with lynn?

I think they will give Roy the tournament then see but straight swap for as yjb has been opening in short forms hasn't he?

Remember when we used to drop people after two bad games on the bounce?

We're batting with 10 at the moment. If Root/Stokes/Morgan don't fire in the middle order we're toast.

I wouldn't feed either of them on current form. Can't for the life of me work out why Chris Lynn didn't play

That presumes India or the Saffers  don't finish second in the group...

Given the net run rate difference between India/SA and pak/SL pretty hard for the latter to top the group

Shame to see - Amla and AB are 2 of my favourite cricketers!

This might shed some light on that...

What an epic choke! Brilliant from India building pressure but faf really faf-ed this one!

AB should've come in at 3. Reckon they were trying to score 330+ when it's not quite the same pitch

2017 the year AB's genius diminished. One of the ATGs, but might be the end of his international career..._
