New Bat's 2010
« on: January 27, 2010, 08:34:25 AM »

Had our 1st sample through with the new willow for this season. All bats are now UK sourced and manufactured and of high quality. Thought I would upload one of the samples we had to see what people thought of the shape etc......

look forward to hearing all your views

cheers

Looks a top bat with a great profile :) Is it just me or does the spine of the bat in the last picture look wonky or of centre?

Bat looks pretty damn nice to me - great profile and clean grains, you will not have any trouble shifting them if theyr'e anything like that one!

I think that mat be the lines of the sofa and the slight tilted angle?
We would have to see the bat on a flat surface to judge I think?

And bat looks really nice - very smooth profile. And looks like great willow!
What weight is that?
And what bat labels will you be using in 2010? Have you designed a new set, or are you sticking to the 2009 sets?

I hate the octopus grip though, cheapens the bat.

Thanks for the feedback chaps...It's just my shoddy photography skills I'm afraid! its central prob due to leaning on the sofa and taking the pic on a slight angle.

This bats 2.13 without a grip just to give you an idea of weigh vs size. Hoping to get a few more to look at later on in the week which I may have the muscles to lift and swing (not that this one picks up particulary heavy!!).

Looking at the stickers now may stick with the 09 ones and give them a glossier finish as popped to see our printers yesterday about them (as well as a few other bits)...Shilly only grip i had in the flat im afraid to see what it would come in at with the grip on (2.147).

I love those clefts, in general great performers

Glad you went English made to keep the UK bat making economy ticking over

I thought you may have gone down the slightly different profile shape route based on your helmets

Norb

Can only try to be differnet in so many areas otherwise people will think your too "radical" haha.

If only we could find someone to make soft goods in the UK for under £60 a pair of gloves and pads at cost price!

I cant devote too much time to bat design as i wouldnt know where to start, Best left to the professionals such as yourself!

Got to change with the times Norb, if amateurs drink cider then as a professional it's only fitting that your new tipple should be cider brandy.......http://www.ciderbrandy.co.uk/shop.html
