You've never seen Dan Lawrence bat. Or bowl. His off-spin will be a consideration in his selection in the same way that Joe Root's is.
I wonder how many of those batsmen with 'genuine cases for selection' you haven't actually seen?
As one of the few on here who goes to any County Cricket (aside from a bit of drunken hit and giggle), I'd wager the nswer to that is "More than you"
Lawrence, aside from telly, I have not seen. Of the others:
Abell - yes, though only the once and Jack Brooks made him look a tad silly.
Duckett - several times.
Clarke - likewise.
Livingstone - yep.
Westley - several times.
DBD - actually, the only times I've seen Kent in th last few years hehas been either left out or injured. You can have that one.
Roy - yes.
Hales - many times.
Balance - same.
Lyth - same.
Robson - same.
Vince - made a lovely hundred at Headingley last year. Sadly!
Stoneman - yep.
Borthwick - of course.
Lees - yes.
Gubbins - yes.
Jack Burnham - yes.
Max Holden - only once, in an under 19s game.
Del Rawlins - only on the box.
