I actually feel pissed off and emotional thinking about how you guys don't get tests etc on free to air . As an aussie , the ashes mean the world to me . Beating the best possible english team makes it feel better . Knowing you are exposing the game to everyone, not just sky customers , would improve the english talent pool , and thus , beating you guys would feel all the more important still .
ahem.....
well done in India, far better than we did. The Ashes mean far more to us we have the urn in the Lords museum !!
seriously.....test cricket, our national team, should be free to air in the UK so it's accessable to the masses. viewing figures for 2005 home series were off the scale when we beat the best Aussie team seen on these shores for a very long time(has there been a better test series ever?)
the reason for massive fees from TV companies in the UK is to re-invest in grass roots so the game remains flourishing
this myth has been well and truly exposed here, the game is dying a death at amateur level
it needs a shot in the arm in England, and it needs it now. We all love the game, 99 per cent cent amateur players here im sure want their to be the same game available to the next generation.
