Rashid Khan
« on: March 29, 2017, 02:39:02 PM »

Been lazily following the Afghanistan - Ireland series through the reports on Cricinfo and noted that Rashid Khan has been tearing Ireland apart almost every game. Now they've moved onto the Intercontinental Cup and he's carried on, plus remember how good he was in the world t20. IPL deal too, is this kid going to be the first Associate superstar? I know he's mostly only played associate cricket, but look at the stats! Averages 16 in ODIs and 13 in T20i, he's 3 bowling innings into his first class career and he's taken 17 wickets at 10.3... Fingers crossed the ICC  do actually get on with expanding test cricket, think it might come a bit late for Ireland but the Afghans just seem to keep getting better.

I've heard good things about this guy. Current Essex pro, says he will be a superstar.
Bowls at same pace as Afridi, but turns it big. and has great control!

Rashid Khan from Afghanistan and Shadab Khan from Pakistan are future of Leg spin. Both of them are very talented and have a  very lethal googly. I hope they stick around for few years.

Give them a couple of more years to see whether they actually shine or fade into oblivion.

Another overrated hype job from Pakistan. Shadab will be another Yasir Shah all hype and no trousers

Rashid Khan looks like he went to the Diego Costa school of ageing. Kid is 18 but looks ancient

Could be another case of Younis Khan or Shahid Afridi, with their actual ages ~4 years older than on their faked birth certificates.

Was surprised that Mohammad Shezhad didn't get an IPL deal. Geezer seems a right joker but can smash it everywhere

The first? Ahem...
Fair point, I do love Mo Shehzad! He's not an international big name though, yet.

Tendo? Probably the most successful associate player, unless you count Dirk Nannes, but definitely no superstar.

Steve Tikolo.  Kenyan, wonderful batsman to watch and a decent, miserly bowler.

Dwayne Leverock.

127KG, but rose like a salmon. Graceful celebration too.

I do like this Rashid kid though.
