Bhuvi is the king of the IPL, bowled Hyderabad to a thrilling victory over Punjab. 5-19 for the Hyderabad spearhead. Fended off a rampant Manan Vohra who hit a sensational 95.

Think Gujarat and Delhi need to get more aggressive captains. Raina is a total waster no captaincy skills at all. Leaving out someone like Faulkner for his CSK buddy Dwayne Smith is a laughable selection.

Same with Zaheer Khan, masterful bowler but terrible captain. Karun Nair's been a walking wicket since that 303* yet when Delhi need quick runs Nair comes in ahead of Pant and Morris. And end up 20-30 runs short.

Bairstow - Never been to Yorkshire have you? They think they are a country by themselves. Not playing cricket is a crime enough at any level, but playing for somebody other than Yorkshire would be a shooting offence. Seeing a Yorkshireman in the IPL when Yorkshire are playing any form of cricket is as likely as Kim Jong Un having a cuddle with Trump.

Broad and Anderson are under orders to rest from the ECB. Broad played Big Bash as he had 6 months off,  unless the ashes tests are done next winter I can't see him repeating it.

Jason Roy gets in the region of £180k from England, probably £70-100k from Surrey, Big Bash plus endorsements. The £123k he gets from IPL benchwarming is very nice but I imagine it's not life changing. Most International cricketers in England earn £700k + endorsements, so unless you are Ben Stokes it's more about playing than the money. That said I imagine Stokes would also like a bit more time at the crease as well.

The ECB see Roy as a one day / 2020 International cricketer so it benefits the ECB for him to be developing his 2020 game rather than his 4 day batting.

No surprise that international opener Roy has been dropped - back to bench warming.
Finch back with some new gear.

Difficult to see RCB winning this with no AbD and badree

McCullum just took one of the greatest catches of all time only for his hat to brush the boundary triangle. Staggering

About time KW got a game - one of the best players going around in all formats.

Hopefully Pant gets a longer bat - serious talent that kid. Nair hasn't got any score after his 300 - just goes to show it was more down to luck
