Tonight sees the start of our U19's T20 Blast group start, we're missing a few which isn't ideal but think we've got enough to make it!

Then tomorrow see's 1st vs 2nd in our 2nd XI league, we're at home for both thankfully.

Scrap that, the other team has pulled out of tonight's game citing lack of players!

Playing tomorrow having  missed last Saturday due to an engagement dinner also missed four out of the last five matches not ideal but if I can get a couple out of the middle early on I should be fine.
Also doubt If I will be opening as the the guys who have been doing it have been scoring big runs.

Nearly forgot my update. In a nutshell we got 220-5 without really looking in trouble, we bowled them out for 95. Probably the most interesting bit of the game was the oppo collapse from 71-1 off 11 and 95 ao off 28. They had one decent batter who looked a level above anything else, only he was out they had next to nothing. My figures went from 1-0-8-0 to 9.1-7-10-5, more a reflection on the batting and a dusty pitch than anything wonderful I did. After a bit of a dry spell in late May/June I'll take it!

Still unable to play with the thumb injury I picked up over a month ago.

Can at least bat and bowl now but even the pressure of the ball being held against my lower thumb as I was coming into bowl was causing pain so not a chance I'd be able to field. Hoping one more week and some serious strapping and I'll at least be able to turn up for one of the lower sides and get hidden in the field.

Our oppo has had to call of the game due to an overnight gypsy invasion on their outfield.

Another week, another CSG batting collapse. Bowled Taplow out for 153, personally 11/5/26/2 bowling their skipper and number 5 nicking to slip. Bought wickets for one of our seamers and our offie came on and mopped up with 4/6 which was pretty frustrating as I'd created plenty of chances. Long story short, I batted nine and was in with the score 55/7. Scored nine, couple of nice shots for boundaries, before getting one that nipped away at pace and took my off stump. Some poor batting saw us all out for 73 I think. I was third highest scorer, as only two people made double figures. Longest innings and highest score of the season though, felt really good at the crease and was timing it well.

We scored 193 all out, the second team captain, opening in the first while I'm injured got a lovely fifty today.

Opposition made 165 for 9 from there 46 overs.

Curiously the opponopner scored 51 not out from the 46 overs.
He never once tried to up the run rate, and in the last ten with 6 an over needed. He was happy to block and then just take the one.
Very bizarre batting. It's like he/they didn't want to win(bear in mind they were 2nd and we was 4th before today, you'd think they'd want to chase top)

Won scored 208 batting second batted at 4 scored 0 bowled for the first time this season leg stump trying to pull a left arm over the wicket spinner completely missed it. Club  now has a decent lead at the top.

Lost by 304 runs today (yes, you read that correctly)

Opposition batted first and made 379-4 off their 50 overs.

In reply we were 75 all out in 19.3 overs

Personally I took 3-67 and scored 5* but there were really no positives to take from today...

Our worst bowling and fielding performance saw them get 210/4 which on our ground is pretty good. However, our biffed came off with a quickfire 30 odd and we were right in it until a typical middle order collapse. Needing 60 with 4 wickets down we scrape home with our injured player coming in at no10 and holding up an end. I was canught at first slip. A good catch but going at a rising ball short of a length and well wide of off stump - very poor.
