BULLFROG CRICKET BATS
« on: January 29, 2010, 12:58:12 AM »

Im new on this forum. Does anyone know anything about Bullfrog Cricket Bats in Kent ?. Im in the market for a custom made bat for the new season. Ive read some good things about Redback, Vantage and Hell4leather. Its a big decision in a Town called Malice.

Well - you can't go too far wrong with either Redback, Vantage OR H4L!!!
The bat review section could be a good place to start?

I have always fancied a Bullfrog bat too - they are made by a bloke called Giles who I have played against a few times. Helpfully he doesn't have a website. I will do some digging and see if he is still making bats.

They're made by Giles Brearly, who's a top bloke.  He is still making them I think.

My experience with them has been good, though I would say, you tend to get quite a heavy bat for the profile (or a small profile for the weight...).  They do go though...

Didnt angus fraser used to use them, with the cartoony image of him batting on the bat?

Yes, Giles paints whatever you want on the back.  I've seen people's dogs painted on the back, club logos, and my favourite, a bottle of port!

He used to paint different things on the back, I've got one here which has a very small profile for the weight haven't used it though.
