Bats for the Old, the weak and the infirm
« on: April 14, 2017, 03:51:19 PM »

There has been plenty of coming and going in the Royal household, but finally I have got my selection of bats ready for the coming season.  All bats are close to 2.7 and all have girly light pick-ups.
Left to Right
GN XP70 650 2.7 1/2
L&W Legend 2.7 (Match bat)
H4L NV G2 2.6 3/4
Blueroom 2.7 1/2 G1
Adidas Pellara G1 Pro 2.7 (Net bat)
Chase R11 Finback 2.6 (Net bat)

Hi Jason @jblowe
Remember the old blue room of yours? I have managed to repair it, no idea how long it will last but it might be a net bat for you or the like, i can give it to Pete tomorrow if you want mate and you can get it from him?

Picked up the GN today when Jason was round. It is like a feather!
Far too much wood for the weight if you ask me!!

H4L NV G2, Purchased from Matt (via a secret agent) Massive amount of wood but the lightest bat. Knocks up very well

Nice looking chase there jblowe ....lighter bats a sign of getting old! Set my limit at 2lb 9 these days.

However.......Northern who hits it into next week for fun told me he uses about 2lb 7 which i was amazed at. Picked up his bats at practice and they are as light as a feather!

Very true, I have had worst looking G1s, all I can see that might drop it to a G3 is that there are three blue stains on the face. Once had a chat with Rob Pack regarding a similar stain on my beloved Blueroom and he liked the stains, said he thought the bats went better.

A fine and considered set of sticks sir!
A Chase R11 as a net bat. The extravagance of royalty!
May they go well for you this season.
