Looking to have my bat refurbed, have a 4 week window in July, anyone had experience of GM refurbs recently?

Obviously the busiest time of the year now, but I sent one in a little over a week ago and have yet to be sent an invoice. I can let you know when it arrives back.

They've had my bat for 1.5 weeks now and still haven't sent me an invoice, don't know if that means they haven't started the work or not. Would presume they don't start until they have been paid but who knows.

I had to chase it up the last time I had a bat refurbed at GM @Kulli but it was worth the wait, it came back almost like a new bat.

No doubting GM's quality IMHO.

@Cow Corner

Spoke to them this morning, just waiting for finance to sort an invoice, bat is nearly ready to be sent.

I presume they will be able to do it well within your 4 week window, though might be worth writing that on your note with the bat to make sure.

Do you guys remove the scuff sheets, sand and oil your bats every season or skip any part of it? I've done all three things every season for past 3 season but i'm feeling a bit lazy this season.

I feel like just oiling the back and the sides of the bat where there is no scuff or stickers.

@Cow Corner bat on it's way back to me now, so that's roughly 2 weeks for posting to receiving it back again. You should be fine.

Probably just depends how busy they are at a particular time - sent mine in roughly a month ago and I'd received it back within 8 days!

Most bat manufacturers recommend the process you suggested every year so the bat doesn't dry out too much. Not sure how much difference it really makes though.
