Umpired one of our local West Indian sides on Saturday, An old Rasta came out to bat with an even older looking Hawk bat. First ball he strolled down the wicket and hit the opps fast bowler back over his head for six.

Only bat to note over the weekend was a H4L Hellfire G1 Monster.....he never hit  ball off the square though!

Then again I lasted 2 balls with my H4L 50/50 G1 low density bat...

Saw a couple of interesting bits this weekend

One of the opposition players had Dunamis keeping gloves and a Dunamis  Divinity bat.
There were also a couple of Chase bats, an old Slazenger legend, and most excitingly someone came out to bat with a Bossom Bats Double D!

Lovely G1 H4L Hellfire in the oppo yesterday, with a gifted batsman wielding it. Fortunately he was stoned off his tits, and after a sumptuous 25 swished and was bowled and wandered off for another doobie!

Young lad MC Cricket FKW. I had to look up who mc cricket were. He was not a great player and the bat seemed a bit of a plank. Plenty of old Slazengers which went well. Only 1 M&H which for a pair of Somerset teams is very unusual. A grainy MAlik limited edition.

Played Aldwick Saturday, saw the @Dunamis Cricket bat that was raffled off (their clubhouse burnt down).

No nice bats to note during the game.

No.4 used my bat and scored more with it than I did  :(

Opener had an Aldred that looked quite new, couple of Macer bats and bits being used who are another Bristol based cricket brand ran by a few lads.

Wicket keeper for them kept in an Aero mask then came out to bat in an Ayrtek lid.....clearly a wise and gifted lad who was built like he was quite fond of cricket teas....clearly ive somehow become his role model.

Also one of @thecord lot on our other square v our 3's sporting a lid who was left stranded in a close game where their #11 didnt fancy batting even though they needed 14 runs still of 2 overs....bar was open though and it was bloody hot so cant blame him.

Played a mid week T20 last Wednesday where there were 2 Aldred bats on show. The no.3 batsman had an Aldred Gold Sovereign which was an absolute gun. The ball just raced off the bat. Another batsman had an Aldred velocity which wasnt bad either.

Saw a few nice sticks today

Opposition opener and No. 3 both using MSR.
The no.5 was using an old school Puma Colbolt, and I got excited when I saw to No. 11 using a Hunts County Reflex

Couple of RAW Bats from oppo yesterday, nice profile but didn't seem to go that well and sounded broken tbh

Couple of older bas though sounded GUN old skool V600 (Mark Butcher) in great condition sounded lovely and No11 with an original Easton which went well
