I like Atherton, but then I liked him as a player, when we were getting stuffed outta sight in the 90's he never took a backward step. And his writing I would go as far as to say not only the best of the modern writers, but holds his own with some of the very best print journalists over the years.

commentary wise have to agree with some above, Botham is becoming bitter and looks like the whole thing is boring to him, which is a shame as he's a hero.

Rob Key and Tres are excellent, a good like with younger players and the sort of blokes you might have a pint with(which probably will never happen)  :)

Swann gets on my tits and thought he was a great player for us, Micheal Vaughan would eat himself if he could. Yes 2005 was legendary, but that's long gone(but never forgotten)

My favourite was the West Indian lady - Donna something? Really interesting voice and pretty knowledgable. Wonder what happened to her?

Donna Symmonds what a voice, she brought something to TMS that very few have.

If we're talking radio, I love the combination of Norcross and Marks. It's brilliant how they come at the game from a different angle while still calling what's going on.

Simon Hughes is dreadful - the worst, worst self-serving winker. It is not commentary if you just wibble on about what you want to while paying no attention to game itself.

Must admit  when Simon does his few mins summary  on C4   Standing on the pitch before the break I go and do something else.

Thinking of the worst is far easier than the best.... but :

Best on oz tv : Mark Taylor
Best on eng tv : Athers and Nass , Holding and Lloyd are good too
Best on radio : Chris Rogers , Ed Cowan

And the worst ( guys who make me 2ant to shoot myself / make me require heart medication) :
Harsha Bhogle , Pommie Mbangwa , Ravi Shastri , Sunil Gavaskar ... but the worst of the worst , and winner of the 'I'm a muppet' award is Danny 'maximum' Morrison. ......i really , really want to swear now . ;)

Athers, Nasser, Bumble, Holding and Boycott are probably my favourites I also quite like Warne and think Ian Ward does a decent job. As others have said, I think Botham gets worse and worse. Also honourable mention to Mark Nicholas just for the '05 Ashes memories and this in particular: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsWT87mBosg

Must admit I've never had a problem with Mark Nicholas.  Gotta be good at what he does given he's never played international cricket and the amount of egos he probably has to deal with.  He's never worked with botham, mind...

None come close to Benaud, though. I'm just about to young to have listened to Arlott, though from what I've heard I'm sure he was magical.
