If forecast is accurate then they might have saved you from sitting around and watching the rain so could have done you a favour.

Isn't "playing the raincard" where you get pissed up the night before on the assumption your game will be rained off? ???

Our oppo seemed very keen to call it off so who knows what they were up to.

I've played the rain card on a Friday night far to many times! It ends up being costly

We can't believe a team didn't.

Last Wednesday., it's about 11.30am it's rained constant since Monday.
No chance of a game.
Oppo(he home side) phone up and say "we'll have to concede as we can't get a side out tonight lads"

Serious? Just say pitch is waterlogged, share the points etc

That night not a single game was played, all cancelled, they still put result on as conceded.
Baffling!

Our 2nds Captain was not happy yesterday.  Their opponents called their game off yesterday at 10.15am and sent approx 6 of their team to play with their 1sts as a lot of the 1st team were away on a pi** up somewhere.

To make matters worse, one of our 2nds teams biggest opponents, who had been requesting loan players all week as they only had 8 men available, got their game conceded and claimed all 20 points due to their opponents not been able to field a side!!  (Despite the weather and lack of players). Farcical really.

Our 1sts got through a full innings and bowled our opponents out before being rained off after 1 over of our innings.  Max bowling points so better than nothing.
