Same blade length if not longer than my other SH bats due to squarer shoulders.

One stamp (T = year I believe) on the shoulder and the A stamped at the back near the toe for Aus made.

Without a vernier I'd say 25mm toe all the way around. Would a few mm really matter?

Only asked about the toe as my XP80s have about a 4-5mm difference between the edge and the thickest point. Guess they have modified this for the new shape.

Question for the Aus GN specialists including  @Aussiecollector & @skip1973, and @sarg

Does the position of the T on the shoulder and the A on the back have any relevance to who made it? The T is on different shoulders for my XP80s and also faces a different direction. And some bats seem to have the A on the back near the shoulders, and others (velocity and warners?) seem to have it on the back by the toe.

Thanks

Screams fake to me. I cannot see GN allowing this out of their stable.

@Jaffa definitely fake mate! As Admin, I demand that you send that bat to me where I will obviously deal with the bat how I see fit to!

I did raise an eyebrow or two when I saw it. Small price to pay for a preproduction bat. You can register it with GN for the warranty if needed.

In that case you might want to also confiscate the other two bats that I'll be picking up later today. Another XL (1500) and a GN Atomic 1400 like this one...

Last of the big bats?

Had some bats from reputable bat makers with slightly wonky shoulders, I guess it's the nature of something that's handmade. Funnily enough, all the ones I've had which have slightly wonky shoulders have always been absolute belters. (From personal experience, my TK pro bats tend to have slightly wonkier shoulders) I think I've even had a couple of Lavers that have had ever so slight out of sync shoulders!

This one looks a gem, seems like a little more wood to the toe and a slightly lower spine makes the shape look a bit more productive to balls hit lower down the blade. How does it tap up? The only thing that would have me worried is the weight, if it says 2.11 but weighs 2.12 and a bit, they probably weighed it ungripped!

Atomic is 105 mm width...that's the SF trick! Prerelease models. Not fakes. Definitely GN made in Melbourne. The Legend and E41 I recently reviewed and knocked are from the same source and the GN feel is unmistakable.Too bad thet are all gone now @Jaffa purchased them all. Bahahaha

I never noticed SF bats to have thinner blades.

Haha yea saw that the SF black edition came in harrow width given it's huge edge and profile.

Saw that Atomic posted a while back from the source maybe and it looked a beauty.
Was at a very good price too.

Just out of curiosity to experts here, what is the difference between this velocity xl/warner shape compared to kahuna extreme/obscene.. to me they look similar shape and size/weights, yet the kahunas seem to be much more accessible..
