Best keeping gloves
« on: May 22, 2017, 12:13:05 PM »

Best keeping gloves to buy? I had bought GM Le version this year but they have been stolen while my kit was left in changing room while a mcc game was on at our club a couple of weeks ago. I would buy the Le again but just wondering if their was any better as I had an issue with the palm not being padded enough and found a small area that seemed to miss all padding from gloves and p1s.

GM original gloves, I've used them for years now and never seem to have any issues at all

Don't get me wrong the gloves were very comfortable alot more than the new Adidas ones I had tried in the shop but my friend is also using the Le from this yeah and reports the same issue bruising just above the centre of the palm

The Ton Finite's are amongst the very best if not the best of all. Very soft with really good protection too.

Using the latest b3 gloves and am very happy with them. Also have used the ton finite in the past. Would recommend both.

I'm very loyal to Gray Nicolls. I have the LE pair this year which I really like but they are very expensive. They took a fair while to break in but now they are I love them. I also have the 1500s for practice, they are very light but I'm not sure I'd want to get a bad knock in them.

i absolutely love the old brown M&H ones, mainly because I like a substantial, long cut glove. when mine finally died i picked up the adidas elite gloves which i grew to love after some wearing in. the 2017 model is so ugly though!

Last time I spoke to the guys over at M&H (last year) they had a couple left on clearance. Think they were priced at £50 a pair. Maybe worth getting in contact with them if you're interested.

They still have them available in their outlet store.  http://www.mandhoutlet.co.uk/T1-wicketkeeping-gloves-p/mht1wkg.htm

I prefer a small round cuff and ive found my expensive kookaburra ones to be really good. I dont regret the money i spent because they are 4 years old and keeper gloves usually only last me a season. Probably need regrippjng now.

I think octopus grip is a must though. So much more sticky than dimples

I've just got some Bear wicket keeping gloves. Very nice build quality and great protection despite using inners with less padding. Nice simple design and octopus grip. Worth checking out
