This is the best quote: "Virender Sehwag was reportedly asked to apply but refused."

Who thought Viru could make it as a coach? Obviously not the man himself, which makes me love him more.

Imagine: Session 1, this is how you fake a leg injury so you can get a runner...

Session 2: "Whadda ya mean technique? See ball, hit ball, easy."

session 4 : how to block out for the draw "pick bat up and hit the thing really hard"

This should be changed to the "I love Viru" thread.

What a hero he is.

Sehwag would just troll 1.3 billion people and they'd all be absolutely fine with it

Senior players not being happy about Kumble being a 'hard taskmaster' ... the eternal issue with coaching the Indian team...unless you are a foreigner, you will need to massage the egos of the big players or fear getting kicked out. Some things will never change.

Session 5 : This ball is swinging too much. Hit the ball out of the ground and get it changed  :D

Session 6, batting against spin: Why do you need coaching on how to play spin?! They are not worthy, hit the ball out of the ground until a proper bowler comes back on.

Session 8, "Forward Defensive"? Is that a vegetable?

Quite funny though that they can't seem to give the job away!

Just read the related article.

Seems Top-Grade players get £240K (a third of what England's central contract is?)

Kumble gets £725K!

No wonder they don't like him.

Pretty sure the Indian players retain control of their own image rights plus they have the IPL.
Not really comparable to the England contacts

Looks like all's not well..

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/news/virat-kohli-unhappy-with-anil-kumble-bccis-big-3-to-broker-peace/articleshow/58904072.cms

kumble  sacked and noticed the BBC has revised their article just now from 'Kimble leaves post' to 'kumble rift with Kholi'

So it seems this was on the cards. India has gone thru a few coaches you got to ask the question so the Indian captain have too much power? kholi will divide opinion in such a huge Country as India but he can appear to be a spoilt brat.

The Indian fans I'm friends with are absolutely fuming kumble has effectively been sacked by kholi !
