Disappointing £400 - Kookaburra Kahuna Players Bat Review
« on: June 08, 2017, 11:06:15 AM »

Decided that I needed a bat for erm...an unknown reason (CB forum syndrome)
Ended up with this Kookaburra Kahuna Players edition

Rushed into work to find this delivered! (We all know not to get bats delivered at home  :D)

The Disappointment! How is this seriously a players edition bat, seen better looking bats from sports direct.
The price point of this bat is £400!!!

Definitely going straight back without bouncing a ball on it.

Not sure if you have seen pictures of Warner replicas by GN but their faces don't look great. They have amazing ping and performance though. New GN big bats hitting stores in July.  :) New Warner and Velocity look great. 👍

Have seen plenty like that in the last couple of years, in terms of pure looks there are some nicer ones which is why handpicking can be important, we do have some nice top end Ghosts but for £400 we have a number of arguably better options from a range of brands.

Ive got a 6 grain G2 that looks very similar to that and is half of the £400 asking price!

You would expect more than 6 grains for £400.00 maybe it's a pinger.

OK i will ask.....How does it ping?

I agree for a 400 quid bat i would expect maybe an extra grain or 2 but really after seeing the warner editions and some of the 50+ gn bats (saw one with 4 grains!) im not surprised

Grains look great but who cares about grains if a bat pings like a trampoline monkey high on caffeine!

This grain madness is just ridiculous!

They are very large bats though, a standard Kahuna is not.

Purely comparing from a price point of view,
