Masuri lid question
« on: June 19, 2017, 12:38:28 PM »

I recently bought this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252973983536 on eBay after a few beers and thought I'd get outbid. I asked the seller the size and he said it's large and I have to say it does seem that size but the chin strap isn't very long. I've extended it all the way and it doesn't fit my head, whilst I do have a huge head it isn't very long! I've never had this with a lid before, anyone experience anything similar?

They're normally quite generous
Perhaps the previous owner shortened it?

I will take a look tonight but it didn't look overly modified which I would have thought would be quite obvious if they had some so?

I think my vision series was sewn, so it would be easy to spot

chin strap would need to be made so that the clip doesnt slide off of the end of it, if its been modified it should be pretty easy to spot unless they have folded it over to sew back down to prevent this.

Judging by the design of the foam pads, that seems to be the junior large helmet.

That was exactly what I was thinking. Although it is quite large in circumference, the seller says it was 61-63cm and it almost fits my head like the old 63cm lid used to

Sorry for taking so long but here are some pics of this lid and the strap

The strap doesnt appear to be short but it doesnt extend very far. Also what is weird is that nowhere on the lid can i see a size, i thought masuri's always had a size sticker on the inside? I've checked under some of the padding but no luck. Stupid question but to check the size would i just measure the inside lid circumfrnce with a tape measure?

This definitely looks like the VS Test junior as looking at the shape of the grill around the ear its got a flatter end than the senior model. Here's a link to the helmet on owzat which may help with sizes

See im skeptical of the junior size as it almost fits my head and my head is massive, so i doubt its max 57cm but wanted to check. Would running a tape measure around the inside confirm the size?

It's definitely only the club helmets and all junior helmets with that grille. You also get a better quality swoppabands and a superior size adjuster on an adult version of the test helmet
