Cleft, meet handle!

Not one for me this, can imagine it being effective but feels more like a slab of wood on a stick than a cricket bat to my hands (I wonder why that is! ;) ). Also, tut tut, straighten those stickers up haha.

I'd say that is true of the 50+, but the creation of @procricket is phenomenal. For two bats that are almost 2.15 they could not feel more different and I'm sure the 50+ is a pretty decent benchmark as it is! Somehow even cross bat shots feel lighter with that one which doesn't really make any sense on paper but it is a noticeable difference.

The bat I created picks up muc much better than the GN and in truth almost any bat I have ever designed.

It is no b3 this was handmade

And the pivot points and science that went behind this bat it quite simply always going to pick up well.

The cleft you see is not low density or anything

It was hand made too I do not like boned edges at all mind

What is the theory behind "pivot point"?

Your Nemesis must be up there with bats whose feel in the hands defies the scales  :)

The only real difference between the two is the blade length and bow but the overall impression to the eyes is the Chase looks like a slab and the 50+looks more elegant and even "normal" for such a big bat. Once they are in the hands the reverse is true, the 50+ is a bit of a lump and the Chase a scalpel by comparison.

Stickers are straight, it is the slight angle in the pic and the angle of the grain... I checked it with my calipers  :o :D

Ha true, although in fairness it isn't a very heavy bat, think it's just above 2.12 with two and a half grips and a scuff on it? It picks up nicely but with the feeling of potential violence I like in a bat!

Haven't had my hands on a 50+ but imagine it's not dissimilar to a Warner, which to me picked up like a bat with the bottom few inches sawn off, didn't get it at all. Personal preference is a very, er, personal thing I suppose! The middle's too high on the Chase for my liking, plus it has the slab quality that I can't really put my finger on exactly what's wrong with it but I can't get along with. On the other hand I did like the Halestorm much more than I expected.

Of course you checked it hahaha Only on the forum! Now go do some careful calculations and adjust them so they actually look straight ;)

That's a beautiful looking slab !
Chase and @procricket did a good job bringing that into existence.

The custom is 106mm wide at the shoulders, 108mm wide at the toe and 109mm wide at the hitting area. By comparison the 50+ is 105mm at the toe and shoulders and 107mm wide at the hitting zone so skimps a fraction in width to save some weight.

This is an interesting detail although amazing bats nevertheless!
