Fitting GN Toe Guard
« on: June 26, 2017, 04:27:30 PM »

Anyone fitted one of these recently?  Instructions say to glue bat toe and smooth side of toe guard.  The smooth side of the toe guard has the raised Gray Nicolls logo on.  Is it right to glue the Gray Nicolls??

Gray Nicolls logo goes on the outside (and central for those with OCD)

Have they printed their own instructions incorrectly then, or put the Gray Nicolls logo on the wrong side of the toe guard?!

There is a smooth side and a rough side.  The GN logo is on the smooth side.  The instructions say apply glue to the toe of the bat and the smooth side of the toe guard??  Confused!!

Ignore instructions and apply glue to the rough side

Righto, if that's the general consensus.

The glue provided adheres to the rougher surface better than smooth
