RNS Larson handle vibrating crazy
« on: July 08, 2017, 12:20:22 AM »

Hello
I had the bat last year and knocked it pretty well. Last year my brother played with it and felt quite nasty vibration on hands when ball is miss timed or if its hits toe of bat.
I had a go with the bat but i did not feel any vibration rather i felt if ball hits toe if felt like ball hitting a plank or totally bat is dead but at other parts where wood is more pings beautifully.
Recently lent the bat to a friend who compalined about the severe vibrations and he even told that his back is hurting beacuse of the vibrations.
What can be the cause of vibrations? I have untwined the handle but the handle looks fine and the only thing i can see is the handle is not twined uptill bottom as in pics.
Kindly help me out the cause and how it should be fixed or any ideas.

Was it knocked in properly? How many hours did you spend on it?

Could be a crack in the toe?

You can use fibreglass tape to bind handle again, instead of spending ages with the twine.

no visible cracks on either side and not even when flexing the handle at corner of table.
Actually the handle feels quite stiff. The rubber inserts looks quite hard so can it be that cause?

Check the shoulders. I had crack one of my bat and It was hardly visible on the shoulder and it was making vibration like yours. I then took it to a bat repair guy who spotted it.

Check the handle inserts  and for  cracks around the vee also make sure the binding is correct as loose  or missing binding creates vibration

Shoulders look great and no signs of crack even no tiny ones either.

I dont see any cracks on vee and handle inserts...I will bind it tight and see if it helps.
