Pro Bats
« on: July 31, 2017, 12:16:42 PM »

Anyone got an idea who makes pro bats these days, for the likes of Root, Bairstow etc?

Might be after something new, but not interested in going for a big label off the shelf - would rather have something I have input in and can see being whittled away on. Not a guarantee yet, as the Newbery is still holding up really well and going like a rocket, but I have to change a bit of kit every year as a minimum!

Thanks! :)

Fair play on that front - never knew about the FC Sondhi stuff.

I'll keep the replies coming in for sure - have heard of a B3 connection, and was aware of Kippax; I'm a Harrogate lad, so Kippax are on my doorstep - still have one I need lightening - ever since I stopped gym work, 2lb 14 is rather heavy for a wee man!

Was looking at Bairstow's and the handle didn't look very Kippaxy - but who knows, probably made to measure!

I saw that. Root loves a thick oval doesn't he? I suppose they'll make exceptions for the England captain.

Yeah he does; I guess they'll make his to measure eh  ;)

I prefer a thicker handle, but have to make do with my home-made remedy of elastoplast from the first aid kit..!

I saw a picture on the forum of Jonny Bairstows bats and stickers from Adidas at B3 which I would assume they still make them, I know thaw that Salix used to make bats for the pros but I'm not sure if they still make them for any pros

Remember to misspell the Pros name with the sharpie, or shorten it  ;)
