Long handle 1" shorter blade recommendations
« on: August 14, 2017, 01:37:20 PM »

Hi all,

I used a hawk xb300 at the weekend  it was 2.10 but picked up a lot lighter  it had a really long sweet spot it felt like it went from splice to toe
I wanted to ask the question is there any other long handle 1" shorter blade bats worth taking a look at before I take the plunge on a hawk.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

A red ink custom would be a good option especially as I'm using your sorts at the moment :)

I have 2 bats with that shorter blade and longer handle configuration. Both are ridiculously responsive!
I have a Newbery Kudos (made by TK so unsure what the quality of the newest are like) and the H4L Warbird.

I am 6'3 so my mind tells me to use a long blade, but I seem to bat better with these LH, SB bats! As you say, lovely pickups and generous middles!!

I couldn't agree more Mr. Hosk. My main bat is a SB/LH and I'm also 6,3!

You may as well get a matching bat then!

The standard Warbird is a regular SH, just with a shorter blade, no?
You can have it with a long blade as an option, mind.
