Proofs in the pudding I reckon
I remember the original scoops and some were good others were very much less so
As always with cricket bats, it's a bit of a lottery.
The scoops gonna help pick up, but as far as how much woods taken away from the main hitting zone, I suppose a lot will depend on bat dead weight , cleft size weight etc
If there's still 50mm or so of bat thickness where the scoop is, then it's still gonna hit the ball ok
I like the scoop colour, just not sure I'd buy blind, without having a hit with one first, and tapping up a few in a shop.
I suppose that's where we are lucky guys like vitas have the set up for this and stunning bats to choose from.
