Eng vs WI ODI/T20 Series
« on: August 21, 2017, 06:33:53 PM »

Didn't want to start this topic but some exciting news about Marlon Samuels and Chris Gayle in the Windies squad for ODI matches!! #BoxOffice
If the Tests end up being as disappointing as the 1st Test, at least this gives us something to look forward to!  :D

If Narine was playing with his new founded opening abilities then it might form some semblance of a contest. But he's not and I have my doubts.

Narine and K.Pollard now in the squad.

Might be the best side they've put out since WT20 Final. C. Brathwaite to captain. Stokes having flashbacks.

I think it could be a very interesting little series. It has a lot of sub plots that have the potential to turn it into great games.

Gayle, Samuels, Narine etc.. will want to impress and show the WI what they have been missing.
Stokes vs Samuels is always worth a watch
I think England will look at the likes of Livingstone, Crane and the Curran brothers again.
Plus if someone has a belter of a series it could get them on the plane.

Agree with this for ODI! This is how Malan was considered so could be a place.....

Marlon Samuels giving it the big one!
Thought it was cricket, not a boxing match...

Someone mentioned elsewhere that Stokes reputation as a bit of a see you next Tuesday are exaggerated by genuine see you next Tuesday's like Samuels picking fights with him.

Do hope Ben gives him stick, mind.

I think it's quite simple really.....

In the T20 Stokes should give Samuels a lot of grief (Samuels will give it back) get the extra de-merit points he needs for a ban.... then he takes it during the ODI's and be clear for the Ashes.

"I have things in place" - really?  who is this tool and why do the media give him oxygen?

Sounds like a threat to me. Wonder if the ICC take a look at these quotes.

It's not a threat, it's the anal effluent of a fading talent, who needs to provoke a fight in the media to get him up for the ensuing series.

Sadly, Stokes will probably react to it.

It's a far better game when bat and ball do the talking. Ambrose said nothing to anyone apparently apart from Waugh and when Jones asked him to take off his sweat bands.

I suppose if your 7ft and bowling unplayable balls not much really needs to be said.

Samuels seems to think he is some sort of big shot,he is really not that good.

Contrast that to Hope who I saw in a press conference recently, calm, collected and respectful after twin tons

Great to see
