Looking forward to the 2018 season
« on: August 25, 2017, 10:15:22 AM »

At this time in the season, most leagues look like they're set with whichever teams destined to go down or go up already decided.

Are there any teams you're looking forward to playing next season or dreading having to play next season? Are there any teams that have folded or are getting relegated but wish you were playing next season?

Have you got team mates leaving or re-joining you next season?

responses are always less on a Saturday Sunday in the cricket season and it's a bank holiday.
For  me 2018 is going to mean more travelling due to the promoted teams have to go to somewhere in deepest Herefordshire  and Shropshire.
And if the league rejigs the teams as they did last year could be travelling miles Absolutly hate it especially when the weathers poor you get there play for a hour pay your match. Fees and the games called off or you get a low score and have a long drive home.
If there's something I need to do on a Saturday where possible l will pick these long distance away games.

Don't really care about the season.

I'm here for that wonderful period from Oct-Mar when everyone's posting up new 2018 releases/purchases!

Don't even think about 2018 season until January and indoor nets start!!
Don't even think about Christmas until October time!!

This topic was a little premature!

Now if the topic had of been titled "Looking forward to netting over off season" then that is a different matter  ;)

I'm looking forward to getting my Saturdays back. I'm taking a year off from league cricket to see if I miss it.

This was clearly a bad season. I am looking forward to the next season but also simplifying my game a bit.
