No, No, No and No. Simply refrain from this. Irrespective of which grade of willow it is, bat makers are in the best position to press the bat just right. No bat maker would by design press a bat sub-optimally unless they are making a bat for tennis ball cricket, in which case, there is no pressing involved.
Whatever Kingsgrove or GCCC are doing is either not doing anything to the blade OR pressing the bat even more than bat maker, thereby resulting in a bat that will be pressed hard. The end result is a bat that will last long and not break, but then the sweet spot of it will be much smaller and the ping will not be optimal.
