  • Bend it like Fattus!!

It's a shape I'm still in love with, and I saw a pic on someone's facebook today and it all came flooding back.

I know by their very nature most of them were heavier, but I wondered if anyone actually got one around 2.10 (which I think was the lower minimum?)

Also, I wondered if anyone used one for a period of time and how good they were?

Has anyone still got theirs?

I mean, just look at the shape - it's wonderful!!!

I have one that is 2'10 (with one grip) picked it up last winter off eBay. Lovely bat great balance for such a large bit of wood and has a pretty forgiving sweet spot.

I've got a devil that I repaired the toe for a teammate. He's not played for 3 seasons now and has not been on for it back.

Iv been trying to sell a grade 1 Tempo Mark 1 on ebay over the last few months but no one has taken the gamble on it. It was 2lb 10oz when I got it (lightest I think H4L did this model) and is at around 2lb 11oz with scuff sheet, 1.5grips etc. They are a brilliant piece of craftsmanship in terms of pick up vs the sheer amount of wood in it!!

I have one too but it's a bit heavier, around 2lb14oz if memory serves, hardly used it tbh so couldn't comment on long term peformance, pings though!

But is it super-ridiculous Jumbo @JB  weight?

Yeah, I really, really looked at that one Rich, it's a good job I wasn't p*ssed the night I saw that. What made you go for the NV stickers?

Just preferred the NV stickers as my softs have green in them and also the NV stickers I had put on were the newer version (introduced 2015/16??) with superior embossing and colours. The only Tempo stickers available would have been the flat, older version. Fully recommend the bat though if you can get your hands on one - big middle and confidence inspiring profile.
