Cut a squash ball in half and put it in the palm of your glove.

I would suggest that a strong bottom hand is an advantage if you live alone.

Yeah. I went through a faze of strangling the bat with my bottom hand, causing the face to close on almost every shot I played. Added the half squash ball (fill the middle with issue paper) and was hitting the ball a lot cleaner. Still add it again if I feel like I'm struggling sometimes

You could add tape under the grip to where your bottom hand  holds  the handle as someone who also has a strong bottom hand i use a  relaxed thumb and index finger grip.

You could add tape under the grip to where your bottom hand  holds  the handle as someone who also has a strong bottom hand i use a  relaxed thumb and forefinger grip.
I use an extra half grip to try and avoid strangling the bat.
Still very bottom handed though... :-[

(Just looking for cheap squash balls on eBay!)
Cut a squash ball in half and put it in the palm of your glove.

Which way round do you put it?

Used to do this. Tried alsorts. Never scored many runs

I then embraced it, changed my game to revolve around hard hitting, going aerial etc. Now score lots of runs........ Sometimes

@Jones129 , try holding the handle with thumb and index finger only as advised by AB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TGNYND9cVw

I put it so the outside of the ball faces outwards so it doesn't damange the glove palm, you do have to put something like toilet roll in the middle to stop it hurting your hand though @WalkingWicket37

Not uncomfortable at all @Jones129 although does take a little while to get used to.

Practice playing in the nets top hand only for a while. Grove in your drives until your forearm hurts. Add bottom hand. Done.

Did this with a coach at lords. Tripled my average since then! (For the record im not a batsman so its not a ridiculous 60+ average. Try 16-20  :D )
