there are two slots if Toblerone is out.  Broad, Anderson, Woakes, Wood and Sturkes nailed on.

Contenders would be Ball, Finn, Plunkett and possibly Curran T.  The wrong Overton is fit, and Coad is not a bowler for Aussie pitches.

I think it will be Ball or maybe Plunkett. But you have to remember this isn't like a normal Ashes squad selection because the Lions are touring at the same time so in theory anyone on that tour as well can just get called up to play.

On the Hameed broken finger. It is happening simply because he plays with low hands going at the ball therefore has more risk of them getting hit. E.g. Nasser.

Yes he seems to be lacking pace now when he should be in his best years

For me Plunkett is the exact type of bowler they want to take. They went crazy a few tours back (different management) and took Tremlett and Rankin over a well in form Onions because of their height and aggression. This time though unlike then I believe Plunkett could be a genuine starter for England no matter where.

Plunkett should be favourite  one of the fittest England players gives you  hundred percent  rarely fails with the ball and can bat

A lot is written about England  batting but the bowling is a bigger issue  England bowling is  to samey seamers will do the bulk of the bowling and will struggle to take 20 wickets  can see Warner and Smith scoring big runs  against the up and  down straight stuff unless the ball reverses for jimmy.

Yes  wood always looks a great prospect but can't see Wood making it through the tour without an injury from hard wickets

I think Wood is massively overrated.Yes,can be slippery for  one spell,but does naff all with the ball. I too would go with Plunkett but TR-J will be a huge miss!

What happened to Plunkett as a Test player?
He was in the side and performing well, then just seemed to be dropped for no reason (or was he injured?) and hasn't been called back up since.

From memory didn't he have some kind of disciplinary issue with Yorkshire at the start of a season which meant he didn't make their Championship side?
