What guard do people take on here and why? Also how much importance do you put on taking a guard?
I used to take middle but found i was getting hit on the pads to many times, so i started taking middle and leg and i feal i can play off my legs better.

I take middle, but my stance is probs more at leg stump.... not sure why i do that, its just what im used to. Im pretty good at knowing where my stumps are so dont see any reason to change and ask for leg...

I used to take two but now i take leg because i didnt get my trigger movement right when i batted on leg so i was getting bowled all the time but now i bat on middle and have batted better.

I take 2 when the bowler is bowling over the wicket (around if left handed) and leg if other side and walk across to middle to play my shots.

I take guard on off, and then trigger to around middle and off. I was umpiring a under 15s yesterday and a lad came in and sked for off. once he took up his stance he was standing abou 1-2 inches outside off with his leg stump showing, after his first ball i asked him if he knew where he was standing but he said he was happy. 2nd ball and he got bowled leg stump.

Used to stand middle, but trying a trigger movement atm, so start middle/leg sometimes even leg.

I take 2 legs (middle & leg) to right arm over .....that means my feet tend to be on leg stump, with a slight trigger across to two legs.
For left arm over I take leg stump to avoid being bowled around my legs.
Sometimes I will take leg stump to right arm over.... normally when I'm going well and want to open the offside up a little more.

I take middle but I'm often given out LBW after not getting forward enough to the inswinging ball.
