CA SM-18
« on: October 10, 2017, 02:54:36 AM »

Got this few weeks ago, I have cleaned it up and this is how it looks.

Weighs around 2.10. Edges are nearly 48mm. Handle is round, it is awkward shape, its thinnest in the middle and gets bigger as it goes to top. I guess, previous owner preferred it like that.

Pardon me for the quality of pictures, too old to emulate Chad or Pete.

I like this telescoping handle. I do something similar using grips with my handle as I prefer top hand handle to be thicker and bottom hand handle thinner.

CA needs to specify this "handle type" as an option for their customers other than "round" and "oval". I know that bat makers in Pakistan would replicate any type of handle with varying flexibility for their customers. We need more innovation and a telescoping handle would be awesome option for customers.

I am 99% certain that this is not a CA bat.

^ Are you going to share more details instead of these cryptic one line answers about the origin of the bat? :)

I'm no expert at all on CA bats, but the 3 I have all have 5 springs in the handle.

Hmmmm...I'd love to get a bat with that kind of a handle. Ahem...any one knows who makes bats with telescoping handles?  :D

Picked up one of
Shoaib’s bats at the keeleys shed. I love the feel of the handle and the shape

Apparently he is quite fussy over the handles and the gloves.
