He did get a written warning from the ecb regarding being out until early hours drinking not sure if that would effect sponsorship

I assume NB have spent the entire Stokes budget (and maybe more) to prise a guaranteed Ashes player away from a rival, or there is something involving Bairstow that is not yet in the public domain that Adidas want to distance themselves from.

Bairstow's the kind of bloke who helps your nan with her shopping and always has a polite chat. I mean, there's even video evidence to prove it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=893mYkHlBk0

Maybe it's something performance related in all the Adidas contracts as Roy swapped back to Slazenger after only a season with them, he hasn't been in as greater form as he was with GN.

Only averaged in the 30's in Tests this year but over 100 in ODI cricket which you could argue is more appealing to a sponsor.

I doubt performance is the issue, my guess is JB wanted out maybe comfort and preference

What’s your source @Vitas Cricket ? His twitter bio still says he’s sponsored by Adidas, this is usually the first thing they change!

An email from Adidas stating he's been terminated today and they will be updating their retail catalogues and marketing asap.

I hope he’s got himself a nice fat pay check, he’s worked hard on his game

After all he's been through in his personal life the guy deserves everything he gets.

I  wasn't suggesting he didn't deserve anything. Rather that New Balance throwing their weight around is getting a bit boring.

Yes daft suggestion  :) but isn't it great to see Mark Stoneman sticking with his sponsor rather than dumping them straight away.

I think it shows a bit of loyalty in today's cut throat world, kippax make Stoneman's bats and he has done well with them in the last couple of years.

Who was it that changed their golf clubs and instantly started missing fairways all day long. Rory maybe.... :)

A return to simpler times when cricketers had their batmaker's name on their bats?
