Kookaburra Fever Max Video
« on: November 01, 2017, 09:49:25 AM »

Morning All,

We have been lucky enough to get our hands on some of the new 2018 Kookaburra sample kit before any of their actual shipments arrive into the UK.

A video of the new Fever Max has just been added to our YouTube channel...

Look out for new videos from the Kookaburra 2018 range later today, including the new Ghost and Kahuna bats as well as some of the new softs.

Have you had an early look at the GM Haze Max for a comparison? I only ask as both seem to be similar(ish) in being heavier, max spec offerings. Different shapes granted, but roughly the same middle position with the Kook being a bit fuller, more bowed and less shapely (ie Kook is more Beluga like aesthetically) than the GM???
Yes they are both designed to be big bats, that conform to the new regs. Without having them both side by side, I can't give too accurate a comparison as quite frankly I can't remember the exact shape of the Haze Max. What I would say however is that the Fever has a very steep spine and looks very different to the GM Haze and anyother bat in the GM, Kook and Grays ranges. I guess it reminds me of the old Newbery Mjolnit but with the thick edges and more modern look.

At 6:00 mark in the video, I think you are hitting a hard-bar and not a blemish which is why the bat sounds different there. Good bat though,  heavy for the size.

Don't forget there is also the Fever 800 model available thats designed to be lighter. Its actually shown in this video and the one featured is 2.8.

So love the stickers.

Glad it has a “grippy grip” - I’ve tried the other sort and they really aren’t as good ;-)

Finally have two threads become one? Is that Bairstow on the screen at the start of the video???

YJB to Kook?
