Test cricket should be played over 5 days, not 4. Awful idea, end of discussion...

Cricket is dying, accept it. The game can�t survive with tests and 2020because they are totally different skill sets and mentalities. No system is set up to produce test cricketers so there are few capable players now, that decline will only get worse as less people are exposed to the skills and mentalities required at all levels.

I enjoy the shorter formats but my first introduction to cricket was sitting watching test matches with my Grandad during the school holidays. Test match cricket will always be the format i'd choose over anything else

The problem is it is completely different depending where you are in the world. It isn't dying in England, AUS or India, Tests are consistently sold out. Where as SA, WI and NZ struggle to fill stadiums unless those 3 are playing against them.

Well, Cricket is not dying, rather Test cricket is dying.. T20 seems to be increasing everywhere..unfortunate but it is what it is

T20 has moved cricket from sport to entertainment. It has its economic benefits but the fabric of cricket has definitely changed with the advent of T20.

4-day test matches with 98 overs is a BS idea. What next? Have 22 players and refresh players with substitutes for every 4 hours?

WI struggles because of their own cricketing board. Gayle, Simmons, Bravo, Pollard => top quality players are now T20 mercenaries and the second class team plays their international assignments. WI used to be feared opponent in the 90's when they tour India. Nowadays no one goes to watch WI matches even in India. Zimbabawe and Bangladesh matches draw more crowd to the stadium.

Gayle is a test class player, Simmons and Bravo have never been and Pollard's never even played a test! Don't make excuses for the WI, 90% of their t20 stars aren't good enough to cut it in tests anyway.

To be honest when I found out it was against Zimbabwe I did wonder if 3 day tests might be too much.
