Pics of my new B3 here, with comparisons to my previous one.

Pics coming up of my final kit (for now) for the season. Currently waiting on a batch of stickers from OpeningUp so I can properly represent a cause close to my heart, otherwise all sorted apart from some teamwear once I have money.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to share my growing bat collection.

http://imgur.com/gallery/nUcF7OG

I started playing again 3 years ago, and the bats are in order that I bought them from left to right:

1. GN Matrix 700, 2-6
2. MRF Drive, 2-9
3. DSC Canadian Willow (stickered as NB TC1260), 2-11
4. GN Kaboom International, 2-10
5. GN Giant, 3-3
6. Cougar T20, 2-12

Hopefully I can refrain from buying anymore bats for a while, but I would love to get a GN Sabre and a old school Kahuna for nostalgia reasons, as these were my first bats I had when I was a kid.

Would also be interested to know if thats the natural colour or just heavily oiled. Remember seeing some serbian willow from Hunts at a kit day that was all bottle white

The Canadian Willow goes pretty good actually. I bought mine from a shop in Melbourne, I won a voucher through a competition they were running, but I think they were about $250 to buy, but I've seen them in Facebook for about $100 (assuming you can still get them). Apparently they require a lot of oil, but after the first oiling it went pretty dark, but it is over half heartwood which makes it look even darker.

The performance of the bat is great though. The ping is sensational, which is what convinced me to get the bat in there first place. It's great if you love grains, as it has 21 grains. The only downside is that the longevity of the bat, after a few hits it developed a few cracks, but as if you could get them for $100, you wouldn't find a better performing bat. And if it only lasts a season, it justifies buying more bats.

Put a scuff sheet on, makes bats last years longer in my experience.

With the Aussie pre season just around the corner, this is what I'll be rolling with this season. Will be getting new spikes and Thigh Pad, so they aren't pictured.

.Gray Nics Velocity Players Choice 2.11(ONE DAY/T20)
. Kookaburra Ghost Pro 1000 2.9
(I was fortunate enough to sit down with a box of these and pick the nicest one)
.Kahuna Pro Players batting gloves
.Gray Nics Velocity 1500 batting gloves
.Icon Signature X batting gloves
.TNF pads (ONE DAY/T20)
.Gray Nics GN9 pads
.Kookaburra Pro Players keeping gloves
(One pair of UK styled cuff gloves and one pair of Aussie cuff)
.Pro Players Pads
.Standard Masuri helmet

@HellomynameisJ what are the Icon gloves like? I have a pair of pads from them and I've been thinking about getting some matching gloves, and possibly one of their small mens bats in 2 lb 9 oz

I'll be honest, the signature X ones are a bit snug for a standard men's sized  glove, and the quality wasn't amazing but I didn't only pay half price for them so I didn't even bother looking into getting them replaced, I also have a pair of the Signature gloves that I cant speak highly enough of for 2 seasons, and are now just a spare net pair. From personal experience I'd say spend a little bit extra and get the signature gloves, they were exceptional, and if you keep a keen eye out and are patient they seem to have a few massive sales every year with everything 40-50% off.

I don't have a photo, but I use a B3 bat that I bought last summer and is just starting to play nicely, some GN spikes that are at least 15 years old, a £8 pair of trainers from Decathlon that I wear on dry days, some GM pads and gloves that I bought in 2010. The pads are fine, but the gloves have holes in so I might think about replacing them in a few years. I have a helmet that dates from the 90s, but I only wear it in nets. I carry this all around in one of those kookaburra rucksacks after the cat pissed on my main cricket bag over the winter. It is completely useless and I have started carrying a separate bag with my whites in, which is actually quite useful because now I remember to bring them in the house after games, rather than leaving them in the car boot for a week.
