Picky with pads
« on: January 17, 2018, 08:40:19 PM »

Hi guys

I am VERY fussy with pads. I am fairly small so tend to go for small mens or youths pads. Some Pads seem to have a larger top hat than others and just dont work for me

I have been wearing the GN Legends for 3 years now and absolutely love them. The fit is perfect for me but the only issue is they now absolutely stink :( Ive looked into the 2018 ones but theyre Sooo expensive.
Does anyone have the same issue and found any with a small/angled tophat ?

Thanks in advance

Newbery pads never seem to have massive top hats if that helps

I have a pair of tt pads and liven them!

Although I’ve got kookaburra ghost for this year I’ll be wearing my newbery for nets (they’re nearly 6 years old)

If Asad @Uzi Sports  still has any, some of the older SS pads were snug, with a small, angled top hat.

@19reading87 should be able to offer some advice on this. Think he’s owned or looked at every set of pads known to man....

I’ve got some very nice Robinson Sports ones that have a small top hat and are incredibly good quality - I’d recommend them

GT335 are the best small hat pads I have used.

I wonder if they still exist?

I've noticed that the 'MRF' pads Kohli and ABdV have been wearing are very similar looking to the GN Legends. Don't know if they are available to buy though unfortunately.

Got the 2018 legends and yeah they are a bit expensive but they are worth the money even more comfy and seem to be lighter than last years model don't think I'll be using any other type of pad for a long time.

Where did you acquire it from?
