CHASE volante review
« on: February 12, 2018, 07:10:06 PM »

Made a trip to CHASE cricket on Friday to have a mooch around and to ask about a repair to one of my bats. Whilst there I booked a custom appointment after seeing a bat that Dan had made for one of the Hants Ladies side. It was a volante weighing 2.9 with a super short handle. Being only 5 foot 6 and a half a short handle bat is actually a bit big for me and the knob of the handle always hits my wrist leaving me with a large bruise especially if I bat any length of time so I went for. My appointment today with the intention of getting a copy of this bat that I'd seen. I was looked after by Tom as Dan was busy but he took me through the entire process and I left with a lovely bat that doesn't look anything special but the performance is amazing as is the balance and handle. Really love this one and hopefully it scores some runs this season.

Specs: 2.9 on the nose fully dressed, 36mm edge, 63mm spine minimal concaving, even bow.

Pics to follow.

thing I really like is that its a normal SH length blade but just literally with a shorter handle which is great.
