That's the same as 2019 Ashes.

No Trent Bridge in the Ashes again?

What a waste of time the new t20 competition is going to be, I'll be (No Swearing Please) if I'm schlepping over to Cardiff to go and see the Welsh Dragons or whoever play and I suspect most county fans will think the same. Going to be embarrassing when the county grounds are still full watching the Blast and the test match grounds are half empty for the new comp.

This.

Parochially, sure, I like Headingley being in the list.  But Australia will not getter better against the swinging ball, so why not have a test at the one place on earth it always swings!  Plus, its an awesome ground.

ECB blatantly fobbed Trent Bridge off with giving them the 50 over final rather than an Ashes Test.

Whilst I admit it's odd that it's not being hosted at what is a fortress for us, to be fair it's hosting test matches over 4 of the 5 years, plus is getting the 50 over competition and the T20 Blast finals days from Edgbaston. Don't think they can complain too much, really?

Blast finals day is staying at Edgbaston isn't it.

Been to quite a few Middlesex games there and it’s pretty good for the t20. Like the oval will bring in big crowds due to being in the city with people going after work

There was always going to be one major ground to miss out if they do 5 tests, plus they do have that odd stand with the silly boundary!?  ;)

So what do we all think the new teams are going to be then now that the venues have been announced -

Lord's - North London
Oval - South London
Old Trafford - Manchester
Headingley - Leeds
Edgbaston - Birmingham
Ageas Bowl - Southampton
Trent Bridge - Nottingham
Cardiff - Cardiff

Didn't Yorkshire (and maybe Lancashire) demand not to be called Leeds and suggest White Rose instead?

Indeed I have too I wasn't being totally serious. I support Middlesex, play in Middlesex and live in London

But Lords is flat, no lateral movement, no pace and no bounce,so as far as tests go, if the square is not relaid it will be same old same old. I watched Misbah bat for ages last year on a pancake wicket that offered nothing.

I'd rather the test match at Trent bridge to be honest, more chance for us-it's been a good venue in the past.

Touring teams love and get Inspired by playing at Lords? Yes I'm sure they do. But I don't give a stuff .

We really have got to stop being so hospitable, I don't see the same when we go abroad.

Doubt Lancashire would want to be called the White Rose, but it's very flattering for us yorkies :)
