Bear Cricket
« on: February 21, 2018, 11:14:33 AM »

Has anyone used any of their bats? Obviously we all know that Yorkshire is the bat making mecca of the world, and since my Mrs calls me "bear" as a nickname I'm quite drawn to the brand.

Any thoughts?

Man, I once walked through Soho wondering why all the bars had so many dudes outside. And why all those dudes had beards and leather waistcoats.

It was only when I got as far as Trafalgar Sq that I realised I'd wandered through the heart of the rainbow district, and then I was honestly a little bit disappointed that I didn't get more attention!  :D

Nope but I do like their branding and am also curious who makes them...

Badger, you have used one or you currently do use one? I’m just trying to understand how good they are, since their pricing is similar to other known quantities such as Red Ink and H4L

Are they UK made or imported?

Are they made in-house or stickered up?

Grown and made in the UK, by master batmakers. Then stickered up I guess.

Yep UK made, I believe senior and junior bat's are both made by different bat makers, or they were last season anyway unless there has been any change in that. Then yep stickered up like many others. He obviously has input on the shape of the bat's etc as this year they have some different profiles available. I believe the profiles are similar to those used by some of England's stars, Root and Bairstow for example
