My new warsop platinum pro pads
« on: February 11, 2010, 12:19:51 AM »

Very very light and extremely protective. Easy to run is due to the light weight. Fit very nice and comfortabley around the legs and look very good. Any views ppl?

They are ridiculously light, esp with the amount of protection. They cost me £65.

They look nice, and would look excellent with the gloves to match.
And with that beaut of a bat too! You're all set for the season then!

CA do nice bats but I've changed the stickers on my CA's! I know there's more to a bat than the stickers, but the CA stickers are not nice.
And not keen on the gloves or pads I've seen either! I'm sure some will disagree though!
But CA and Warsop full kit - I would opt for Warsop every time........good choice fella!

Mind you, SS are looking good these days!

The stickers on CA are okish in my opinion but warsop gear is certaily better by a clear mile. I was goin for the SS gear but i didnt like the pads or the gloves they had, i wanted the SS PLATINUM RESERVE bat but didnt like the gloves or pads and i wanted all matching gear. Might still get the bat on its own.

I have an SS gold edition which looks fantastic. IMO SS bats are the best of the Asian brands! BAS do decent bats, as do AS, AM, CA and SG.
But SS just seem to have the jump on the other brands!

But Warsop do great bats too! And nice softs by the looks of it.

So all the bling Warsop gear, AND you're thinking of an SS plat reserve as well? You're treating yourself big time there!

Ye but tbh i dont have that much money for another bat, i only bought new warsop gear as i was desperate to buy new a bat, gloves and pads. Not doin very well at the moment financially, hence cant afford to get another bat or a new helmet (less important anyway as i already have 1 from last season in okish condition). Was gonna buy a helmet of Mr Cricket but then dropped out as i didnt have enoguh money to buy everything, helmet was less important so dropped out. Sorry once again to Mr Cricket.

I know what you mean - I'm kind of waiting to be paid at the moment!!
And you can have money for 50 weeks of the year....but as soon as you have no money for a couple of weeks, loads of gear comes up for sales!! And it drives you mad cos you have no money!!

So you did good - Warsop looks excellent. And will be interested to see what you decide on next season too!
