I'm 6ft and was 16.5 stone (ie - fat!) and I find the medium P2's fine. The only problem with them was if you had a bit of a gut they tended to ride down.I would've found a larger size too big and cumbersome.
I have a gut mate and mine didnt really ride down from what i remember, all i had trouble with was it sitting on the top of my box? Maybe i was wearing them too low but anywhere else would have been uncomfortable
So the TON mens inner and outer thighpad set turned up last night.Forgot to take any pictures, so will do a review after nets tonight.Initial thought are the fit is lovely, I feel protected, they feel better than any other kit I have tried, kook combi, p1's2's3's.From looking around they. Look the same as the Hunts County Xero Combo Thigh Protector, kookuburra 500 Pro Guard and others that have come out.I'll give them a bash at nets.
Are you talking about this? http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/personal-protection-c1/thigh-pads-c9/ton-classic-dual-thigh-pad-p1716I bought this a few weeks ago, very impressed. Every bit as comfy as my previous P2 strippers at a fraction of the price, seem decently made too. I'm not quite sure how the protection compares with the P2s, not really been tested out. I was very disappointed with the quality of my last P2s, the material fell apart after not much more than 1 season. Before that I made the mistake of buying a Gray Nicolls Omega XRD 360 dual thigh guard on eBay, the protection was outstanding but it was unbelievably bulky and uncomfortable, used it in 1 net and sold it on...
@felix Yes, I got them from IJC.@justnotcricket86 IJC were the cheapest incl postage. others below:-https://www.talentcricket.co.uk/all_in_one_body_protection/ton_classic_dual_thigh_pad/c213p2343.htmlhttps://www.owzat-cricket.co.uk/acatalog/Ton-Classic-Dual-Thigh-Pad-2017.htmlhttp://www.prodirectcricket.com/products/ton-classic-rh-dual-thigh-pad-protection-white-150042.aspxhttp://uzisports.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2720 (ONLY JUNIOR SIZE)
Thanks mate, certainly wasn't expecting you to go to that trouble! Not too fussed if they are cheaper, I am hoping to visit Talent Cricket soon anyway so will try them out there.
So I nabbed a pair if these thigh pads. A few thoughts, firstly for £11 they are good value. But the are very big. They also need a load of shaping (might need to get the hair drier our)They seem well made and look good. Not sure they will nudge out my sg pads from my bag though.P.s. I have missed this thread...! 😂😂
