I think half of it is the bs they get from shops etc,,guaranteed when I weigh their existing bat it�s 2 or 3oz heavier than they�ve been sold.
I�ve got a lovely ss ton in for a toe repair at the min, that�s 2.11.5,,, the guy was sold it from a reputable shop as 2.9.
I�ve got another customer who uses m&h bats,, requesting 2.9,,,,I asked him to weigh his current bat and it�s 2.12 with two grips on.
I totally agree with Dave,, my match bat is 2.7,, I can bat for about 50 runs before my knackered joints give up
I could use a heavier dead weight bat, but my actual batting time would be severely hampered, as would my timing, and playing certain shots.
